1. Privacy at a Glance

General Information

This privacy policy explains what happens to personal data when you visit our website or order from our shop. Personal data is any data that can personally identify you.

Who is responsible?

Data processing is carried out by the website operator (see section "Responsible Party").

How do we collect data?

  • Through your information, e.g., for orders, in your customer account, for contact inquiries or newsletter registrations.
  • Automatically, e.g., technical data (IP address, browser/device), log data, and cookies/similar technologies – for non-essential technologies only with consent.

What do we use your data for?

  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., retention obligations, youth protection)

3. Legal Basis (briefly explained)

We only process personal data if it is permitted. This is particularly the case if

  • the processing is necessary for a contract (order/shipping/payment),
  • we must comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax and retention obligations, youth protection),
  • we have a legitimate interest (e.g., IT security, abuse prevention), or
  • you have given us consent (e.g., analytics/marketing cookies, tracking, newsletter).

4. 18+ / Youth Protection and Age Verification (very important)

Our offer is directed exclusively at adults (18 years and older).

Age query when entering the website

When entering the website, we may ask you for a confirmation of legal age. This confirmation can - if technically implemented - be stored in a cookie/similar entry, so that the query does not reappear on every page view.

Age and identity verification upon delivery (spirits shipping)

When shipping spirits, we ensure that delivery is only made to adult recipients. For this purpose, we typically use an ID-based age and identity verification by the shipping service provider (e.g., DHL Ident-Check). The delivery person checks the ID, compares the data with the shipping specifications, and documents the verification; delivery to authorized representatives is excluded.

5. Hosting & Shop System (Shopify)

Our shop is operated via Shopify (Shopify International Ltd., Dublin, Ireland). Shopify processes data necessary for the operation of the shop (e.g., order and technical usage data). Data may also be transferred to countries outside the EU. Shopify uses appropriate protective measures for this.

Shopify Network Intelligence / "Enhanced Services"

If the Shopify Network Intelligence feature is activated in Shopify, Shopify also processes data to provide certain extended Shopify features. In this case, we must refer to it in this privacy policy and include a link to Shopify's privacy policy. 

6. Cookies, Consents and Withdrawal

We use cookies and similar technologies:

  • Necessary (without consent): e.g., shopping cart, checkout, site security, language settings.
  • Not necessary (only with consent): e.g., analysis, statistics, marketing, conversion measurement, remarketing.

Non-essential technologies are only used if you actively consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
The requirements of the Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (access to end devices) apply to consent, in particular the obligation to offer genuine choices (e.g., "Reject" equivalent to "Accept"). 

7. Server Log Files

When visiting the website, data transmitted by your browser to our server is automatically processed. This typically includes:

  • Browser type/version, operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Date/time of request
  • IP address (possibly shortened)

This data is technically necessary to deliver the website, ensure stability and security, and analyze errors.

8. Contact (Email / Form / Phone)

If you contact us, we process your information (e.g., name, email, content of the message) to answer your inquiry and, if necessary, clarify follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties without cause.

9. Orders, Customer Account and Contract Processing

When you place an order with us, we process the data necessary for the contract (e.g., name, address, email, ordered products, shipping status).
If you create a customer account, we store the data entered there so that you can manage orders and order faster.

10. Payment Providers (Shopify Payments & others)

We offer payments via Shopify Payments and common payment methods (e.g., credit card, PayPal and others, depending on your selection at checkout). Payment processing is handled by the respective payment service provider. We generally only receive information that we need for order and booking processing (e.g., payment status, transaction data), but not complete card data.

Please also note the privacy policies of the selected payment service provider.

11. Shipping Service Providers (incl. Age/ID Check)

For delivery, we transmit the necessary data (name, address, optionally contact details) to the shipping service provider.
For spirits, the "18+" notice and - depending on the booked service - the minimum age or date of birth may also be transmitted, so that the shipping service provider can carry out the age and identity verification.

12. Web Analytics & Marketing (Google Analytics, Shopify Tracking, other tools)

We use or plan to use analytics and marketing technologies, in particular:

  • Google Analytics (e.g., GA4) for reach measurement and usage analysis
  • Shopify-internal analysis and tracking functions (e.g., for shop optimization, performance, attribution – depending on configuration)
  • possibly other tools (e.g., conversion tracking, advertising pixels, remarketing services)

Important: These tools, to the extent that they are not technically necessary, are only activated after your consent.

Data (e.g., cookie IDs, device/browser data, usage data, possibly shortened IP address) may be processed and – depending on the provider – transferred to third countries. Appropriate protective mechanisms (e.g., standard contractual clauses or recognized adequacy mechanisms) are used for such transfers.

We only disclose personal data if this is necessary, e.g., to:

  • Shopify (Shop Operation/Hosting)
  • Payment service providers (payment processing)
  • Shipping service providers (delivery; for spirits including age/identity verification)
  • IT service providers/apps that we use for shop functions (e.g., analysis/marketing – each depending on consent)

We store personal data only as long as

  • it is necessary for the stated purposes, and/or
  • statutory retention periods exist (e.g., commercial and tax law).
    Thereafter, the data will be deleted or anonymized.
